On the social side, we regularly arrange diabetes & other health check up camps, CME programmes, Diabetes & Health awareness lectures for patients, society , and in schools & colleges.

The Dr. Gaikwad Diabetes Centre hands over optional services to the community in terms of awareness & complications, focusing especially on diseases like Diabetes, Cardiac, HIV & AIDS.

The Dr. Gaikwad Diabetes Centre is the first kind of club established and developed for diabetes prevention and awareness education in PCMC. We are running NDEP and CCEBDM courses for diabetes education.

1) National Diabetes Educational Program (NDEP):The program has been developed with the objective of creating Diabetes Educators, A Diabetes Educator is health care professional who is specialised & certified to teach people with Diabetes how to manage their condition.

This program is backed by the Indian Association of Diabetes Educators (IADE) and Dr. Mohan Diabetes Education Academy (DMDEA).

2) Certificate Course In Evidence Based Diabetes Management (CCEBDM):Primary objective of this course is to enhance knowledge , skill & core Competencies of primary care physicians in the management of Diabetes.

The course is certified by the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and Dr. Mohan Diabetes Education Academy (DMDEA).
